چکیده
Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous metabolic disorder characterized by hyperinsulinemia, abnormal lipid levels, altered hormonal milieu such as elevated androgen and chronic anovulation. PCOS one of the important reasons for infertility. most common cause irregular menstruation with diverse clinical manifestations affecting women reproductive age. Aims Objectives: The present study aimed to examine systemic inflammatory markers that can be detected in complete blood count, neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR) platelet–lymphocyte (PLR), patients compare them healthy women. Materials Methods: This case–control was conducted Department Obstetrics Gynecology, Akash Institute Medical Sciences Research Centre, Devanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka. After following inclusion exclusion criteria, total 160 subjects were included. Among them, 80 cases controls. A detailed gynecological history obtained from all subjects. Women presenting gynecology OPD group 15–45 years menstrual cycles included study. diagnosis done according Rotterdam requires presence at least two three symptoms: (1) oligomenorrhea/polymenorrhea; (2) biochemical hyperandrogenism (Ferriman–Gallwey scores ≥8) or hyperandrogenism; (3) detection polycystic ovaries an ultrasonographic examination (≥12 follicles, 2–10 mm size). Under aseptic conditions, venous samples collected assess hormones follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing (LH), markers, white cells, neutrophils (N), lymphocytes (L), platelets. NLR PLR calculated. Lipid profiles fasting state. Results: In study, BMI 24.5±4.1 kg/m2, cholesterol 160.1±24.2 mg/dL, triglyceride 99.1±28.1 LDLC 99.1±25.1 LH 8.4±3.8 mIU/mL, LH/FSH 1.2±0.91, 16.30±4.69, 5.73±1.91, 17.01±7.13 significantly increased HDLC 39.7±6.2 mg/dL FSH 6.1±1.1 mIU/mL decreased compared Conclusion: concludes age-matched individuals control group, suggesting low-grade inflammation early

Background: Rheumatoid Arthritis patients are evaluated during treatment for various inflammatory factors such as C-reactive protein, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, and Disease Activity Score, and other immune system-related factors. In the follow-up of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, hematologic factors associated with the immune system especially Platelet to Lymphocyte Ratio and Neutroph...
متن کاملVitamin D and inflammation: evaluation with neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio
INTRODUCTION Association of vitamin D, inflammation and endothelial dysfunction, beside the classic bone metabolism disorders, may explain the pathogenesis of numerous diseases associated with vitamin D deficiency. While large numbers of reports support the relationship of vitamin D with inflammation, several reports fail to confirm this relationship. Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and pl...
متن کاملNeutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio are Predictors of Heart Failure
BACKGROUND Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are inflammatory markers used as prognostic factors in various diseases. The aims of this study were to compare the PLR and the NLR of heart failure (HF) patients with those of age-sex matched controls, to evaluate the predictive value of those markers in detecting HF, and to demonstrate the effect of NLR and...
متن کاملNeutrophil-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-lymphocyte ratio in evaluation of the development of polycystic kidney disease
Background: It is well known that the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are available markers of systemic inflammation, and increased inflammation is along with progress of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The inflammation is risk factors for increased morbidity and mortality in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Therefore, we evaluate the ass...

The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic efficacy of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), neutrophil-to-monocyte ratio (NMR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and non-CD controls. These ratios were all derived from complete blood counts. Two hundred and six participants including CD inpatients and non...
